Ducts are required to have a fre resistance corresponding to the fre sections they pass through.
Fire insulated ducts are tested according to the standard DS/EN 1366-1. For example, the overall classifcation is indicated as: EI60 (ve ho i ↔ o) A2-s1,d0.
The specifcation in the parenthesis indicates that the product is classifed both for vertical and horizontal ducts, as well as for internal and external fre effects. An internal fre effect on ventilation systems occur due to several incoming and outgoing valves in the same fre cell.
The CONLIT range effectively prevents fre spreading via the ventilation system. Circular ducts are effectively insulated with CONLIT FIRE MAT. For rectangular ducts, CONLIT FIRE BOARD is used, but for EI30 CONLIT FIRE MAT can also be used.
CONLIT FIRE MAT and CONLIT FIRE BOARD are designed specifcally for fre protection of ventilation ducts.
